Gingerdead Man 3: Saturday Night Clever Review

Gingerdead Man 3: Saturday Night Clever is the 3rd installment in this stunningly ridiculous franchise. Without a doubt the first film was the best, and like most franchises the sequels haven't been able to live up to it. The main thing wrong with the last 2 Gingerdead Man films is that there is no Gary Busey. Gary Busey simply made the first film as epic it as it is. Without him, its just not as fun.

Having said that, I still was able to enjoy this film. The first 5 minutes include a "Silence of the Lambs" parody that was brilliant. After that the Gingerdead Man somehow stumbles upon a time machine and goes back to 1976. He winds up in a roller skating thingamajig and chaos ensues. There are a lot of filler scenes that take place in the next 55 minutes.  At times I felt like pausing the movie to take a break from watching it, but I wasn't allowed to. This is the only DVD I've ever encountered THAT DOES NOT HAVE A PAUSE FUNCTION. Thank goodness the film picked up steam at the end and the final 15 minutes were unexpected and quite amusing.
